Summer Volunteer Programme 2014

Looking for  something worthwhile to do in the summer holidays?

Moray Art Centre are offering placements on their Summer Volunteer Programme.

If you are aged 14 or over, interested in the arts, or looking to make a career in the arts industry, this will give you a real insight into behind the scenes at an art centre.  You will have the opportunity to learn about:

What goes into putting on a professional exhibition
Organising a live arts event
Publicity and social media
Progamming classes for young people and adults
Assisting tutors in preparation and delivery of classes
Retail merchandising and sales
Cash Handling
Health and Safety

You will have receive training and support, and it will be up to you how much time you volunteer. Although we will expect a minimum of 3 hours a week. You will also receive a recognised volunteer accreditation, which will look great on your C.V, college application.

Saturday Morning Work Experience

Moray Art Centre seeks a Saturday morning (9am – 1pm) volunteer to assist with its busy gallery, classrooms and shop.

We need help with: class preparation and clearing away, making refreshments and gallery care.

Perfect for those interested in the arts or just wishing to enhance their CV – you can even put the hours towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award and other local volunteer schemes!

Minimum age: 14

Call for Arts and Crafts Tutors

Artist Practice diane main We are currently developing Moray Art Centre’s art class programme and we are seeking new tutors for classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and all crafts. (This is for sessional tutors only)
