Julia Smith who graduated from the Glasgow School of Art’s ceramic department in 1996 and worked in Glasgow for many years undertaking public art commissions and running a community ceramic studio. She has recently moved to Ardersier where she produces her own ranges of functional pottery, beautifully made and subtly decorated.
We also have an award winning jewellery maker Genna Delaney who recently came 3rd in the final of the Jolomo Arts & Crafts PSYBT Awards. With over 100 of Scotland’s best creative businesses entered, it was some tough competition. After studying Jewellery Design at Cardonald College in Glasgow, Genna completed her BDes (Hons) in Jewellery & Metal Design at Dundee. Genna’s work is inspired by architecture and the natural landscape.
