Young Athenians  – Contemporary Exhibition

Following the main exhibition, Masters and Champions’ Young Athenians brings Moray Art Centre’s summer season to its climax! The exhibition includes work both borrowed and new featuring Greek-inspired collage and lithography by Tommy Grace, and an intriguing sculpture by Cathy Stafford, from the original exhbition ‘Young Athenians’ held in Edinburgh in 2007. Young Athenians draws upon the rich cultural influences of Greece on European art.

The exhibitionalso features work for our unique competition where artists from all over Scotland submitted work inspired by Greece or London 2012. A panel of judges selected Katy Meehan, Laura Gill and Chloe Windsor to share the gold prize of £1,000. Visitors to the exhibition can also take part by voting for their favourite to win the silver and bronze prizzed of exclusive goodie-bags of art & craft materials.
