5 July – 17 July, 2011
The worlds most luxurious and unique golf publication from Wonderland Publications.
During the first Scottish Golf Open to be held at Castle Stuart in July 2011, Moray Art Centre is exhibiting Golf, an art book of the story of golf. Limited edition art prints from the handmade, 18 chapter, 140 page masterpiece, plus copies of the 575 page Collector Edition (limited to 2100) will be on display and available at the exhibition. The Art of Golf is an editorialised art collection that tells the story of the game, the terrain and where it’s all going.
Colin Montgomerie, Ryder Cup winning captain and golf course designer, served as the resident professional during the four years of crafting the book. Co-creators Paul Skellett and Simon Weitzman drew from their fine art, brand creation, TV and film backgrounds and incorporated contributions from over fifty individuals worldwide in the golf industry including voices from the PGA, course architects, historians, coaches, caddies, commentators and historical societies.
Additionally, during the four year project, the creators painstakingly restored many rare and previously unseen archive images and created hundreds of pieces of artwork to sit alongside the 105,000 word editorial.
‘Golf’ is designed to entertain, enchant and amuse the lifelong golfer, the golf enthusiast, as well as reaching out to those who are new to the game, interested in the landscape it occupies, or simply fascinated by the art and culture that have influenced the game’s evolution over the centuries.
Wonderland Publications produces luxury quality, handmade contemporary fine art folios, books, prints and original artworks, combining unique and engaging content in the time honored spirit and tradition of British publishing.
