COVID-19 UPDATE - DECEMBER 2020
In accordance with the latest regulations from the Scottish Government issued on 19th December Moray Art Centre will be closed to all visitors until 16th January and no classes, workshops or other events will take place during this period.
MAC has been closed to the general public since last March. A few workshops have taken place strictly adhering to the guidelines contained in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance for the community learning and development sector last updated on 14th December. MAC has also carried out its own risk assessment. We are now advertising a wide range of classes and workshops which, with one exception, will take place in the spring and summer of next year when we hope the COVID-19 situation will have eased. The guidance permits us to run workshops and classes as long as Moray remains in tier one or two but would need to cancel or postpone if it was placed in a higher tier. Prospective attendees can be assured that, in this event, they would be fully and promptly refunded. Prospective attendees should also consider the current travel regulations which forbid travelling from a higher tier area to a lower one. We will shortly also be introducing some online courses.
MAC is not yet in a position to set a date for reopening to the general public and resuming a regular programme of exhibitions and events. We hope to be able to do this whenever the situation permits and we will announce this on the website and on social media and in our newsletter.
Moray Art Centre, as a charity receives limited ongoing support or subsidy so every donation directly advances our vision and ensures the continuation of our art programme for all ages. As a recognised Scottish charity (Ref: SC028270) we are immensely grateful to all those who make a donation, no matter how large or small.
