Winter Open Exhibition

For Moray Art Centre

Submissions open - 30th September - 31st October 2018

Art produced by artists from near and far. Showcasing talent throughout 

December 2018 - January 2019

Submissions via email or post to admin@morayartcentre.org  with ‘Winter Open’ in the subject line please, must include: (please submit in the following format):

Artist name and Town
Title of work
Media, size and date of creation
Sales price

jpeg (digital image)

(Please remember, when calculating your sales price, that MAC takes 20% of any sale).

Please make sure that your submission fee of £5 per item is submitted, to be paid online or by cheque or cash at centre."

Work must:

be original artwork made by the entrant

not previously entered

for sale

not larger than 48" x 48"

framed (unless box canvas suitably finished) and ready to hang on rod and hook system

Any work not ready to hang will not be accepted.

Artists will be notified of accepted work by 14 November, 2018.

Work accepted for the exhibition must be delivered to MAC by 24th November. It must be labeled with title, name of artist and selling price.

Work will be hung Monday 26 November, 2018 and exhibited throughout December and January.

Open evening and judging will be Friday 7 December, 2018

The 1st prize is £75 worth of art materials (gift voucher) plus a 10% discount on your choice of art class, plus a solo exhibition in the Foyer Gallery at a mutually convenient time within 18 months. 2nd prize is £40 worth of art materials (gift voucher).

Lindsey is a Edinburgh based artist originally practised trained as a architect this has gifted her with a passion for the built environment. The buildings and the space in between them, she is intrigued and inspired by the alleyways, structures and derelict places which shape our towns and cities and the way in which the light interacts with the mundane. The transformative effect of sunlight and shade on something mundane.

Meet Toni Harrower on Tuesday 4th Sept between 10am - 5pm to celebrate the opening of her exhibition Colours you've forgotten. This opportunity will allow you to meet the artist and ask any questions about her work. There will be tea and cake too, look forward to see you there. 

Don t worry if you are unavailable to make the meet and greet, colours you've forgotten will be on show between 4th of September to Sunday the 23rd of September.
