About This Project
Moray Art Centre is a charity run creative space located on the grounds of the Findhorn Foundation in Findhorn, Moray. This community hub for art is the only visual arts centre of its type in Moray for serving artists both local and further afield, it also provides the community with workshops, classes, seasonal programmes, residencies and events.
Moray Art Centre also provides very affordable room hire for both local and international business, some of which have come from as far as America, Germany and Italy.
Moray Art Centre is an ecologically purpose built building comprising four artists’ studios, three gallery spaces used for exhibiting a broad range of artwork: Professional artwork in the main gallery, which is built to museum standards, professional artwork in the foyer and work in the community gallery by amateur artists and students. It also has three large creative spaces and a surrounding garden with it's own built-in pizza oven for outdoor activities and events.
Moray Art Centre was founded by professional artist Randy Klinger and opened its doors for the first time in 2008. A valuable creative space for encouragement, social and community engagement, motivation and inspiration.
The ethos of the Moray Art Centre is to provide a supportive creative environment where artists, students and creative people can flourish outside of the critical intimidation and pressures of art industry trends and big city fashions.
