Spontaneous creativity, creating stories with images or images for stories. 1 Day Course: Saturday 16th July 10:30 - 4:30 £50 All materials included This is an opportunity to create for pure pointless joy, and/or for your own book etc. It’s a hands on adventure from a non-traditional perspective, using a wide variety of tools and techniques. This is a course to learn new skills and or improve existing experience. We will cover illustration styles and techniques, composition and layouts used in the role of visual storytelling. You will be encouraged to explore your own visual language using marks and colours on paper, at your own pace. You may also bring ongoing book projects as you wish. Keith Barker has published two illustrated books for children. Please arrive 10 minutes early, as there are some admin and H&S points to go over. About Keith: Keith Barker is a designer/maker and author from Bath in England. Barker’s professional work experience includes photography and boat building, but he is best known for his furniture designs manufactured in Japan. He studied Woodblock printmaking with Clifton Karhu in Kyoto. His work within the visual arts includes Graphic & Photographic illustration & design. Portraiture, Logos etc. and recently he published two children's books.
