Service Description

USING TOOLS TO CRAFT WOODEN OBJECTS with Keith Barker Sunday 10th July 10:30 - 4:30 £50 All materials included Here's what Keith had to say about the workshop: "We all use tools every day, but to find off-the-shelf tools that feel comfortable and fit our hands is challenging. So first we will personalise some simple woodworking tools. Then practice using them to make wooden objects. Doing and making involves and develops all of our senses and it inspires us to explore our personal attitudes and inclinations. When we express ourselves outside our body by objects that we create, there is an immeasurable sense of achievement" About Keith: Keith Barker is a designer/maker and author from Bath in England. Barker’s professional work experience includes photography and boat building, but he is best known for his furniture designs manufactured in Japan. He studied Woodblock printmaking with Clifton Karhu in Kyoto. His work within the visual arts includes Graphic & Photographic illustration & design. Portraiture, Logos etc. and recently he published two children's books.
