The Benefits of Structure in Creative Process– In person (4-hour taster) 16th October - at MAC 11 am -3 pm SUITABLE FOR AGES 16 & OVER Gary Murison Learn from local and established photographer Gary Muison in the process of undoing your creative Practice. Learn how to break down and evaluate the process of your work and undertanding how to get from a vision/idea to a creative product. Understand different processes in how to take your idea out of your head or off the paper and translate them to life. During this short workshop you will be offered learning opportunities designed to support and encourage your individual creativity and provide you with a transferrable framework of actions to help shape and add consistency to your workflow. The session utilises a blend of presentation, discussion and practical work to guide you through a task and develop a structured approach to your artistic projects. Creative processes have a great effect upon a work's finished output, learn how to distinguish what is best for your creative practice. Lean and try out these skills using a camera under the guidance of Gary. These processes you will learn can be translated into any medium of creative practice , allowing your visualisation of ideas to come to life. Gary Murison is an established local photographer , who offers efficient, friendly, high quality & high standard of photography and photography training service to commercial and non-commercial customers, delivered with originality, ingenuity, integrity and creativity. Aim of the workshop: to support and encourage creative thinking by establishing and promoting a systematic development and evaluation process, which can be applied to your artistic ventures Objectives: Developing ideas and founding requirements (Assessing) Preparing an idea (Planning) Starting the project (Implementing) What went well? What could be improved? (Evaluating) Equipment You will require: Camera, phone or tablet Battery capacity to last the workshop.

Our Cancellation Policy
Cancellation: Moray Art Centre (MAC) reserves the right to cancel courses if the circumstances dictate. If this occurs, you will be offered an alternative course or a full refund of your course fees. If MAC has to cancel any courses due to covid infection of the tutor (either during a course or immediately prior to a course/workshop) we will refund 100% of your fees. If you have to cancel less than six weeks before the start of the workshop/course/taster, please see refund structure below; Amount of cancellation charges: Weekend courses, Day Workshops and Taster Sessions Up to 6 weeks before 10% (90% of fees refunded) Up to 5 weeks before 30% (70% of fees refunded) Up to 4 weeks before 50% (50% of fees refunded) Up to 2 weeks before 80% (20% of fees refunded) Up to 1 week before 90% (10% of fees refunded) Less than 7 days before 100% (0% of fees refunded) If you have to cancel less than twelve weeks before the start of the course, please see refund structure below; Amount of cancellation charges: Summer School courses, 3-day courses, 4-day courses Up to 12 weeks before 10% (90% of fees refunded) Up to 8 weeks before 30% (70% of fees refunded) Up to 4 weeks before 50% (50% of fees refunded) Up to 2 weeks before 90% (10% of fees refunded) Less than 14 days before 100% (0% of fees refunded) Although we do not foresee any issues, for Summer School courses you may want to consider taking out holiday insurance in case we have to cancel your course or in case you are unable to attend due to a Covid infection.
